We cordially invite you to the conference ‘Toward a More Accessible Europe. Preparing for the European Accessibility Act.’!

We are approaching 28 June 2025, when the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the Act that transposed the EAA into Polish law will come into force. Thanks to the new legislation, many products and services of everyday use will be accessible to everyone, regardless of individual abilities, permanent or temporary functional difficulties. Ensuring accessibility not only entails new obligations for businesses, but can also result in numerous business benefits.

To mark the occasion, the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy together with the EAA group at the Accessibility Council (a formal advisory body on accessibility in Poland) are organising a conference dedicated to the new law and accessibility in business in general on 13 December 2024.

During the event, Polish market regulators will introduce the organisation of the new surveillance system for the accessibility of products and services and answer the most frequently asked questions on the practical aspects of ensuring accessibility. With speakers from a diverse backgrounds, including the private sector, NGOs and academia, we will discuss implementing accessibility not only as a new legal obligation, but above all as a part of a conscious business that recognises and responds to the diverse needs of its customers. During the inspiration and good practice session, business representatives will encourage the implementation of accessibility throughout the product and service development process and show that an empathetic approach to design and building positive user experiences brings benefits to everyone, including the companies themselves.

After the conference, we invite you to join us for discussions with market regulators and business representatives at thematic tables on the availability of products, services, information and responsible business conduct. More information about the thematic tables will be available soon!

Please note: The thematic table session will not be streamed online.

You will find the registration form on our website under the ‘Registration’ tab. We look forward to seeing you!You can find more information about the new Act on our homepage (in Polish).
